FAMILY
"I wouldn't be anything without my family. The loves of my life includes my three children and my beautiful amazing Queen, my wife, Melissa. It's been a joyful, fun, surprising life I have lived that became more magical once my family grew. Going on 7 years of marriage and 8 years together with my queen. Of course, challenges do occur and being a husband as well as a parent can tricky to manage, but I've learned that knowing what your priorities are, having a routine, and being disciplined will certainly make days much easier. Nothing comes easy, but in our family we do our best to foster a home of love and happiness the best way we can."

O'Cyrus joined the United States Air Force on September 7, 2015 and from that day forward he never looked back. He journeyed from Atlanta, GA to San Antonio, TX where he began basic military training (BMT) at Lackland AFB. During this time O'Cyrus discovered his voice; he learned that people listened when he spoke. What was most prominent between September 7 - November 8, 2015 was his ability to remain resilient through the difficulties of BMT.
These struggles would become more apparent during his technical training from November 9, 2015 - April 6, 2016 after he nearly flunked out of his behavioral health class. Despite the failures his persistence and fortitude propelled him forward which led to him graduating the program on April 6, 2016 to become a Mental Health technician.
April 7, 2016 O'Cyrus flew from San Antonio, TX to Los Angeles, CA ready to begin his active duty career. That night he was taken to Edwards AFB, CA where he would spend the next six and a half years working as a mental health technician and substance abuse counselor.
O'Cyrus has impacted thousands of lives during his time in the military ranging from treating mentally ills patients, honoring the fallen through his service in Honor Guard, as well as countless voluntary hours through commitment of community service.
Continuing to serve, O'Cyrus will do what he can to give back to his country and inspire as many people he encounters in hopes that they discover their voice and give back to the world.
