About The Book
Clay, a 12-year-old boy, recently learned that his parents were brutally murdered in an ancient forest after the two had gone missing for several hours.
Clay's parents were renowned treasure haunters known for investigating forbidden, sacred, haunted territories, finding historical artifacts, and selling them to the highest bidder. One day his parents sought to retrieve a relic which was still on the deceased body of an ancient Chief buried at a cemetery in the Alona Forest. Shortly after retrieving the relic, his parents encounter a young boy named, Ahriman, who pleads for help to find his parents. Ahriman had been wondering the forest for hours terrified that he may not locate them. Fearful for Ahriman, Clay's parents bring the young boy back to their home and plan to help him find his parents.
Days later Ahriman, and Clay's parents venture back to Alona Forest. After several hours elapse only, Ahriman returns to the home. Distressed, he informed, Clay that his parents were brutally murdered by an unidentified male figure. Saddened, confused, and enraged, Clay grabs a box of flammable matches, hops onto a bicycle, and rushes to the forest. Ahriman follows behind him and warns, Clay not to tamper with the ancient forest in any capacity.
Clay has his own plans and seeks retribution for the death of his parents by any means necessary, regardless of the consequences.
