Goodbye John is a story about a child who grows up with a stuffed animal he bought as a fourth grade student. The young boy forms a bond with this stuffed animal who he named, John. The bond was reminiscent of what one would consider a best friend to be. As the child ages, he realizes that he can no longer watch over his best friend and makes the tough decision to say goodbye.

Clay, a 12-year-old boy, recently learned that his parents were both killed by an unidentified male figure roughly one hour ago deep in the Alona Forest on April 23, 1999.
Clay’s parents, Mara and Dearil, were popular and widely respected amongst their peers for being professional treasure hunters who traveled around the world to investigate/explore forbidden, sacred, haunted territories, finding historical artifacts and selling them to the highest bidder. The success of their career had garnered them millions of dollars over the years; however, it came at a price.
